We broke camp and prepared to depart nearly covered in bugs. Needless to say, we went about the morning routine as quickly as we could.
Heading southeast we made our way to muscatine by midmorning.
A pleasant ride along the Mississippi River brought us to the local bike shop where I made arrangements to replace my broken front rack.
As the shop had nothing in stock we made arrangements to stay the night in town before departing after replacing my rack and picking up a package mailed to us by my parents.
With no campgrounds in the city and needing to do laundry we checked into a hotel and enjoyed our last full day in iowa as best we could.
